Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:00 p.m. Wednesday that a juvenile stole a golf cart and crashed it into a car in the 2100 block of South Goebbert Road. Citizens peacefully detained the juvenile for police. The juvenile was arrested and transported in custody to Arlington Heights police about 6:00 p.m. An alert dispatcher for Northwest Central Dispatch System recognized the youths name as possibly a missing person. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
