Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday of criminal damage to vehicle/attempted burglary of a vehicle in the apartment parking lot in the 1700 block of Woods Drive. An unknown offender or offenders broke into a trunk and damaged a gray 2007 Toyota Corolla, but apparently did not steal anything.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Monday, September 20th, 2010 at 8:00pm and Tuesday, September 20th, 2010 at 6:40am. Pry marks on the trunk of the same vehicle were discovered on the weekend of August 28th, 2010.
Arlington Heights police are investigating.
