Skokie police alerted area police departments about 1:00 p.m. Friday of an armed robbery at the Brickyard Bank 3536 W. Dempster in Skokie that just occurred Friday. Two offenders described as (1) male/Hispanic about 5’5″ wearing brown shorts with stripes, and (2) female/Hispanic, heavy set, wearing a yellow shirt and jeans. The offenders fled with a white grocery bag containing U.S. cash. The offenders were last seen heading northbound on Central Park Avenue.
Any citizens with information about the bank robbery are urged to call 911 or Skokie police at 847-982-5900.
