Arlington Heights police checked on solicitors in the area of 500 South Roosevelt Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Monday. At least one of the solicitors was wanted in another state. The other solicitor had a criminal history and was transported to Arlington Heights police headquarters for investigation. The solicitor that was wanted was transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters.
A group of about 10 to 12 solicitors were working the neighborhoods in the area at the time. At about 8:55 p.m. a resident in the 900 block of South Scarsdale reported a male/black solicitor using foul language at the front door of the residence. That particular offender was not found.
Also, about 8:35 p.m. Monday a solicitor complaint was received in the 1100 block of West Euclid Avenue. Unknown details of the complaint, but the offender was described as a male/black, about 6’2″ large build in his late teens or early 20’s wearing a brown striped suit.
Soliciting after 9:00 p.m. is illegal in Arlington Heights.
