One killed and twenty-one people injured in twelve or thirteen separate incidents in Chicago Saturday and Sunday.
Shooting at about 11 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Laflin Street. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm and transported to a local hospital — unknown condition. Possibly gang-related.
Shooting at about 3 p.m. Saturday in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove in the Woodlawn neighborhood. A 56-year-old man was standing on the corner when a passing car shot the man in the calf. The man was transported to an area hospital — good condition.
Two people shot at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of 8400 block of South Muskegon Avenue. An 18 year-old grazed by a bullet in the arm — refused treatment. He may have been shot while walking in the 8400 block of South Escanaba Avenue. A 19 year-old was shot when a another car pulled next to his and passengers shot into the car while shouting gang slogans. The man drove himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital and was treated and released.
A shooting about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7400 block of South Evans Avenue. A 17-year-old boy was standing on the sidewalk when he was shot in the upper right side.
Shooting about 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of West 79th Street outside Bogan Computer Technical High Schoolin the Ashburn neighborhood. A 19 year-old man with gang affiliation was shot in the leg and uncooperative with police. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn — critical condition.
Shooting at bout 8:10 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. A 47-year-old man was shot in his arm — possibly during a drive-by shooting. The man was transported to Norwegian-American Hospital — good condition.
Shooting about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue. Two people were shot: 24-year-old man with graze wound to his head transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital — stable condition. A 19-year-old woman shot in the neck transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital — stable condition.
Shooting about 12:28 a.m. Sunday in the 5100 block of South Laflin Street. A 19-year-old man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at 1:10 a.m.
Shooting about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 10500 block of South Corliss Avenue. A 28-year-old man was shot in the right calf and transpoted to Roseland Community Hospital — stable condition.
Shooting abot 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 9200 block of South Blackstone Avenue on the Southeast Side. Three more people were shot while sitting on a porch. A 25-year-old man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn — critical condition. An 18-year-old man was transported to Advocate Trinity Hospital — stable condition. A 27year-old man was grazed with a bullet in the arm, and was treated and released from Advocate Trinity Hospital. The 18-year-old and 27-year-old have gang affiliations, according to police.
Shooting about 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of East 67th Street. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm and transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital — critical condition.
Shooting about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 10800 block of South Racine Avenue. Two people shot while sitting in a parked vehicle: A 43-year-old man was shot in the chest and transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center — critical condition. A 22 year-old man was shot in the shoulder and transported to Roseland Community Hospital — stable condition. The 22-year-old is gang affiliated, according to police. Shots came from a passenger in a gold-colored 4-door car, according to police said.
Four people were shot at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 9100 block of South Marshfield Avenue. Four vctims were taken to area hospitals.
No known arrests for any of the shootings. Chicago police are investigating.
