Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:10 a.m. Sunday of a burglary in progress in the 1200 block of Francis Drive, near Dwyer Avenue. The vehicle owner chased the offender about 10 blocks toward the area of Princeton and Grove starting at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday. The owner called police when he returned home. The offender is described as a male/white about 17 years-old, wearing a white shirt and gym shorts. The offender attempted to break in to the owner’s vehicle.
Arlington Heights police were already in the neighborhood and arrived immediately. A second car assisted on a search of the suspect.
