Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:25 p.m. Sunday of a hit-and-run at Thomas and Rand Road. The driver of a silver Jeep Cherokee reported that the driver of a black Ford Explorer hit the victim’s vehicle and fled westbound on Olive. The two drivers apparently stopped at Olive and Dryden. The driver of the offending vehicle claimed he did not contact the victim’s vehicle and headed west on Olive Street. The black Ford Explorer is reported to have front-end damage.
