Arlington Heights police responded about 8:35 PM Wednesday March 21, 2018 to a report of a hit-and-run crash at Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, IL. The driver of a silver Hyundai Alantra was rear-ended by the driver of a Honda Pilot.

Chicago Man Arrested Suspect of DUI After Leaving Scene of Rear-End Crash in Arlington Heights
Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:46 p.m. to a report of a man slumped over the wheel on eastbound Algonquin Road near Elmhurst Road.
Apparently motorists behind the the driver of the Honda Pilot honked their horns at the driver when the driver didn’t proceed with a green light. The motorists didn’t realize the Honda Pilot was no longer driveable with heavy front-end damage.
Mount Prospect police and firefigher/paramedics were on the scene, and Arlington Heights police also arrived to investigate for a possible connection of the Honda Pilot driver to the crash at Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road.
The driver was either transported to Northwest Community Hospital by Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics, or transported in custody by Arlington Heights police.
