Three men have been arrested by Carol Stream Police Department after two, 10-day investigations yielded efforts to solicit minors. A Carol Stream police detective posed online as a 14-year-old girl in one investigation. Adwaitkumar R. Pathak, 29, of Des Plaines, allegedly asked for sexual favors and was arrested when he arrived in Carol Stream on February 10 with another man, Garuav Sharma, 21, of Palatine to meet the ’14-year-old girl.’ Both men were arrested and taken into custody.
Pathak was charged with unlawful solicitation of a minor(a felony) and grooming (a felony) , and attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Sharma was charged with traveling to meet a minor(a felony).
Both men remained in DuPage County jail Friday — held on bond set at $200,000.
In a second investigation, a Carol Stream detective posed as a 14-year-old girl and was asked for sexual favors allegedly by Dale J. Kreidler, 27, of Plainfield. He was arrested after meeting in Carol Stream (date not available).
Kreidler was charged with unlawful solicitation of a minor and attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Dale Kreidler remained in DuPage County jail Friday — held on bond set at $150,000.
