Rolling Meadows Fire Department fighting a house fire in the 4700 block of Dawngate Lane in Rolling Meadows. Firefighters first on the scene reported smoke coming out of a second floor window. The house had heavy fire in at least room, but quick action and aggressive firefighting knocked down the fire quickly before it could take hold in the attic and roof area.
Fire Departments from Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Elk Grove Township, Hoffman Estates, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Palatine Rural, and Schaumburg assisted Rolling Meadows Fire Department.
Traffic on northbound Meacham was blocked at Algonquin Road. Schaumburg police are assisting Rolling Meadows police with traffic control.
