Schaumburg Fire Department and Rolling Meadows Fire Department were busy on Route 53 between Beisterfield and Kirchhoff Road. Several separate accidents involved cars hitting the wall expressway divider. Most crashes were on the northbound lanes.
Thursday morning Arlington Heights Fire Department and Arlington Heights police officers responded to several car crashes in Arlington Heights. Emergency crews responded to an injury accident at Euclid and Dryden. One vehicle sheared a fire hydrant off its base. No water leaked out of the hydrant.
Police also responded to crashes at Golf and Arlington Heights Road, and Central and Fernandez Avenue.
