Dennis Rouleau also announced that the aircraft is generally a reliable aircraft and that the flight was an on demand to pickup cargo from Chicago Executive Airport and forward the cargo to Atlanta.

The crash site, according to experts familiar with the scene, is reported to be a difficult site to manage because it is not directly accessible by heavy equipment, conditions at the river bank are slippery and frozen, hazardous fuel is leaking in the area, and that parts of the wreckage are underwater.
