Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:20 PM Thursday February 15, 2018 of a vehicle burglary in the block of 1000 East Suffield Drive Arlington Heights, IL — near Camelot Park. Police received a report that an unknown offender burglarized the victim’s vehicle by breaking the front passenger window.
A man exited the passenger side of a sedan vehicle (image included) and walked toward the victim’s vehicle. The offender broke the window on the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle, and removed a black bag or fanny pack from the victim’s vehicle.
The offender returned to his vehicle and fled the area in the vehicle. The offender is described as a black male, 25-35 years old, 6’0″ 180 LBS, wearing a light colored or light gray hat, a blue sweatshirt and jeans. The offender’s vehicle is possibly a dark gray Hyundai Sonata or Toyota Camry.
Police received a report that the victim’s black fanny-pack containing his wallet and cash were taken. The cost to repair the damage was unknown at the time of the police report.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:19 PM.
