Police, firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 3:54 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025 to a report of a townhouse fire in the block of 200 Scarsdale Court in Schaumburg. The fire, which was extinguished in about an hour, caused several units of the 8-unit townhouse building to be uninhabitable, but the Village of Schaumburg did not indicate whether any injuries occurred.
While firefighters were responding, there was concern that an infant was trapped in one of the units, but firefighters confirmed that no victims were trapped in the building.
Flames vented through the roof of a second floor unit before firefighters arrived.
Hanover Township Emergency Services assisted Schaumburg firefighters.
