
An Arlington Heights resident on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections since June 24, 2024 was arrested Monday, March 10, 2025, accused of striking a relative in the head with a baseball bat in a residence they shared on Beverly Lane in Arlington Heights.
Police officers and paramedics responded Sunday March 2, 2025 to a report that a male offender struck a relative with a baseball bat in the head multiple times at a home in the block of 900 North Beverly Lane in Arlington Heights.
According to court records, the defendant and the victim share the household. Allegedly, the defendant engaged the victim in an altercation, and threaten to kill him. Other family members intervened, and broke up the altercation. The victim retreated to the living room while the defendant went to his bedroom, and then returned to the living room carrying a purple metal bat. The defendant allegedly struck the victim in the head with the bat multiple times. Police officers recovered the metal bat, which was identified by the victim and another family member as the weapon. The victim suffered serious injuries, and was transported to a nearby hospital.

Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and
Domestic Battery.
The defendant, David Trevino has a prior conviction for domestic battery with strangulation at the same address in Arlington Heights, and his sentence for the prior domestic battery was discharged after three years in custody since March 25, 2020. Trevino was again incarcerated (December 20, 2022/apparently while on parole), convicted of Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon/Previous Conviction, and Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer. Trevino was paroled again on June 17, 2024 from Robinson Correctional Center, and then he was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon on March 2, 2025.
David Trevino was detained pretrial at his detention hearing on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Trevino was not transferred back to IDOC, but was remanded to the Cook County Department of Corrections for the duration of this active case for Aggravated Battery/Use of a Deadly Weapon.
Trevino is held NO BOND at Cook County Jail Division 2.
The defendant is 5’9″ 185 LBS, and has a tattoo on his left arm “Olivia and Alexandria” and a tattoo on his right arm “Been 1”
