Northbrook police police officers responded about 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 to investigate and locate a stolen Elite ambulance that was reported to be located in a parking lot at 1033 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook. The private ambulance had been reported stolen at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday from Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital, 2739 West Foster Avenue in Chicago.
Northbrook police also received a report that security personnel at a nearby building had asked the suspect to leave but he kept trying to hide. When Northbrook police officers located the ambulance and the suspect, he still had the ignition keys on him and admitted to driving the stolen ambulance.
