Lake County Sheriffs deputies responded about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 to a report of a crash with injuries on Route 59, south of Golfview Drive in North Barrington. Lake County Sheriffs deputies discovered a head-on crash involving a Subaru and a Ford van.
A passenger in the Subaru was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of a Ford van and the driver of the Subaru were transported to area hospitals where they were listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the Ford van was traveling northbound on Route 59 when, for unknown reason, the driver crossed the centerline and collided head on with the Subaru passenger vehicle that was traveling southbound, according to the Lake County sheriffs office.
The Lake County Sheriff’s technical crash investigation team is working on the investigation. Route 59 between Miller Road and Signal Hill Road was closed for several hours.
