Elgin police officers responded about 3:03 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 to a report of shots fired in the block 300 Adams Street in Elgin. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that shots had been fired.
No injuries were reported, but property damage was reported when property was struck by a bullet or bullets. The Elgin Police Department did not reveal the number of shots that were fired.
Detectives are actively investigating this incident, and updates will be provided as they become available, according to the Elgin Police Department.
