
Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser alleges that between October 4, 2024, and January 14, 2025, Robert J. Dodero possessed and disseminated child pornography — also known as child sexual abuse material — in the form of multiple digital images and videos. Dodero was previously convicted of child pornography in February 2007 in Cook County.
According to the Illinois State Police Child Sex Offender Registration Unit, Robert J. Dodero, 5’11” 185 LBS is a non-compliant, Lifetime Registrant, who was convicted in Cook County involving a victim that was 16 years-old when he was 27 years-old.

Robert Dodero has used alias names Robert Dodero, SA Dude Dodero, Robert Joseph Dodero, and Jeron J Dodero.
According to Illinois law, Dodero is being detained in the Kane County Jail while his case is pending. He was arrested on January 20, 2025. He appearance in court on January 31, 2025, at 9 a.m. in Courtroom 305 at the Kane County Judicial Center, and remains detained in Kane County Jail.
Dodero was found guilty of failure to report change of address/employer on June 20, 2018 after an arrest by Mundelein Police Department April 10, 2017.
Dodero was also charged with failure to report weekly address, and failure to report annually on December 29, 2016 after an arrest by Zion Police Department. The case was dismissed or superseded by indictment or other information on July 12, 2017.
Dodero was also previously arrested for DUI by Illinois State Police District 15 on January 28, 2001.
This investigation was conducted by the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit, a collaboration of the State’s Attorney’s Office and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office launched in 2023 to keep Illinois children safe from sexual exploitation.
The charges against the defendant are not proof of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the state’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
