Although Arlington Heights has been quiet about development at the former Arlington Park property, the Chicago Bears are submitting a traffic impact study; and the Village Board of Trustees — at a Village Board Meeting March 3, 2025 — are anticipating discussing the hiring of a global engineering and advisory firm, TYLin Group, to act as a consulting firm to assess the Chicago Bears traffic impact study expected to be in Village of Arlington Heights possession soon. The Village of Arlington Heights official website has indicated that a special Arlington Park Redevelopment page (vah.com/arlingtonpark) would be updated whenever the topic of Arlington Park redevelopment is placed on a public meeting agenda. However, with only two days to go until a public meeting, this hasn’t happened … there hasn’t been an update on the vah.com/arlingtonpark page on the village website since March 18, 2024 — almost one year ago.

Updates To Be Posted On This Page (www.vah.com/arlingtonpark)

This page will be updated whenever this topic is placed on a public meeting agenda, or when potential permits are approved (the last update was March 18, 2024).

Additionally, NBC Chicago on Thursday, February 27, 2025 (one day after a rumor popped up that the Bears were finalizing at the Arlington Heights location) quoted Arlington Heights Mayor Tom Hayes, “Our discussions are continuing, but there is no truth to that rumor.”

CARDINAL NEWS is monitoring traditional media websites, X timelines, public rumors posted on X timelines and sports-related websites, and other sources — especially regarding the redevelopment of the former Arlington Park property, and any connection to the Chicago Bears Football Club, which owns the property. The rumor — and perhaps rumors (plural) based on that rumor — were unsourced, and therefore dubious.
