The Batavia Police Department investigated a traffic crash that occurred on February 18th, 2025, at approximately 4:22 p.m. in the block of 200 North Kirk Road. The traffic crash involved an 8-year-old, male pedestrian being struck by a 2014 Cadillac ATS sedan.
The juvenile was taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
After reviewing the evidence and witness statements, the investigation has concluded. Police investigators determined that the juvenile was crossing the roadway from the east side to the west, approximately 300 feet north of the North Kirk Road and East Wilson Street intersection, in an area that was not a designated crosswalk.
The investigation also determined that the driver of the Cadillac was not at fault. No citations were issued.
