
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Rolling Meadows responded about 2:11 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025 to a report of a house fire in the block of 3700 Bluebird Lane in Rolling Meadows. Firefighters received a report of house fire in a rear bedroom with a rear window blown out. A Rolling Meadows fire unit on arrival and first on the scene reported fire and smoke showing from the rear of the house. The fire department response was upgraded to a Code 4 “Working Fire” by about 2:13 p.m. Fire command reported all occupants evacuated from the house. A dog was also safely evacuated from the house.
Deputy Chief 151 was in the area and was on scene within two minutes, and confirmed a working fire upgrading the response.
The fire was fought with multiple hose lines.
According to the Rolling Meadows Fire Department, the home, unfortunately, is a total loss. Initially, no suspected cause of the fire was released by the fire department. The house fire is under investigation.

Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Arlington Heights and Palatine Fire Departments provided mutual aid at the scene of the fire.
Rolling Meadows Police Department provided traffic control and crowd control, and assisted the residents of the house fire.
Rolling Meadows Public Works provided assistance with salting road surfaces, and were available for water supply issues, if needed.
