Gov. JB Pritzker was asked to respond to President-Elect Donald Trump’s comments, according to a reporter, “to declare a State of Emergency for deportations and use the military to do that.”

Gov. Pritzker replied …

“We, of course, are deeply concerned about, you know, the President of the United States calling out military inside the United States, where people are peaceful, even if there may be people who are undocumented, but the idea of calling out the Army into the domestic confines of the United States is, seems, uncalled for, and may, in fact, be unconstitutional and illegal, we’ll look into that … honestly, he says a lot of things … you never know what he’s telling the truth about, so we’ll have to see.

Pritzker added, “Well, he does not have the ability to call out the National Guard inside the confines of the United States … the governors do. There are two different provisions of the act that authorizes the use of the National Guard, Title 10 and Title 32, and he doesn’t have under either one of those the ability to call the National Guard out — again, in the United States of America. He can, however, call out the National Guard to fight in foreign wars, and indeed has done that. We’ve sent many, many thousands of National Guard over, just my term office, to serve abroad and that’s at the bequest of the President of the United States whether it was Joe Biden before him, Donald Trump.”

HERO CITIZENS FIGHT TAX LEVY

Residents in Chicago, especially black residents, are upset with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and his attempt at a $300 Million tax levy, claiming that migrants are getting special treatment, compared to long-time black residents that have been suffering from poor economic conditions and violence.

Speakers at a Chicago City Council meeting Thursday, November 14, 2024 firmly criticized Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.

Violence Interrupters Executive Director Tio Hardiman joined ‘America’s Newsroom’ to discuss why Chicago residents are fed up with Mayor Johnson’s handling of the ongoing migrant crisis (FOX News). YouTube Tips ⓘ

Detailed video below these quotes from citizen speakers …

“Good evening everybody. I wanna know, how does it feel that Trump is in office right now? You see that Mayor Brandon Johnson, you underestimate us, you underestimate the Black people and you underestimate Chicago Red … we’re the thorn in your side, and we’re gonna be in the thorn on everybody else in this council member’s side, too. If you don’t stop what you’re doing, we gonna take matters in our own hand and we gonna stop it. You know that Trump had pulled 45% of the voter in the State of Illinois 37th in the city of Chicago … that’s the statistic, that means Illinois turning purple. We’re going to turn red.”

“Y’all can red bird dog me all y’all want but if y’all in this relationship over Duty, then y’all don’t serve the blue, and you can smirk all you want. [Mayor Brandon Johnson interjects: Mr. Sims direct your attention towards me please] You’re a criminal, why do I got to address you? The Feds need to address you, DOJ needs to address you, and hopefully Donald Trump will address you … because you’re gonna protect the undocumented, while you are gonna allow for the citizens in the Chicago to suffer under your what, 3% …Lopez cooked that 3% up a long time ago. Y’all called it a circuit breaker. Y’all been talked about it. Remember? Before you came in here and gave a jovial speech? You need to be inspected(?). You and that creep over there.”

Acting like, you know, you just gonna bully everybody. You got people … what? … officers whose families don’t even want you to come to the funeral. You just like a school yard bully that at some point — and you might not know nothing about it because you grew up in Elgin — but those of us who grew up on the south side or west side of Chicago, we all know at some point that bully is cornered in the alley, and everybody come at him, and he ain’t gonna have nobody to help him … that’s you, that’s you. Keep thinking you ain’t gonna abide by what the President of the United States said … everybody know better than that. I see you Anna Valencia (Chicago City Clerk), in your red, you know what it is … this is the second time you showed up in City Council wearing red. You know what it is? Yeah, yeah [Crowd: “Red! (laughter)] … so you, and the rest of them that know what time it is, y’all come on you leave that loser where he is. He’s a loser. He’s a loser. No, me and Zoey, we ain’t doing nothing for nobody except for ourselves. We got you, loser.

“14% rating is what you appear to have, Brandon Johnson, across the United States as how they see yoy … 14% rating. Now I’m gonna talk about all those known donations of $11.5 million that came from places like the CTU, the SEIU, the American Federation of Teachers, Illinois Federation of Teachers, and then someone got the nerve to get on there and talk about cutting the pensions. What about our real estate? Because, see, we paid for these properties for a purpose and not for you to go touching it with $300 million that you wanna siphon out of the citizens’ pocket. Get rid of the illegals, and that will take your money right back. Started it off with that.”

In the letter calling for the special meeting. The only item up today for consideration is item number 02024–0013679, an ordinance authorizing the fiscal year 2025 property tax levy. There are zero Yeas, 50 Nays. This matter has been voted down. Alderman Mitchell on a motion to adjourn.
