Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 to a report of a rollover crash with injuries on Cleveland Avenue south of Davis Street in Arlington Heights.
The Arlington Heights police were first on the scene by 7:08 p.m. and reported that the driver was out of the vehicle. Police discovered a white Toyota upside down after hitting at least one parked car. The parked car that was hit on the southbound side of Cleveland Avenue had moderate to significant damage and may hit a vehicle parked in front of it. The vehicle in front had little or no damage.
The first fire crew on arrival (Ambulance 1), reported a vehicle upside down on its roof with moderate damage. Squad 1’s crew arrived and report no extrication was required.
The driver of the white Toyota refused EMS transport, and was transferred to police officers for a field sobriety test.
Following the field sobriety test, the female driver was transferred to a police vehicle and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters. Her vehicle was uprighted and towed by Hillside to a police holding area.
The crash affected traffic as Cleveland Avenue was blocked in both directions south of Davis Street.

DUI – Under the Influence of Alcohol,
DUI with an Alcohol Concentration in Blood or Breath 0.08 or More, and
Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Agnieszka Stepaniuk, age 48, of the block of 500 South Cleveland Avenue nearby, was cited and released.
Stepaniuk’s next court date is November 20, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in Court Room 203 of the Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.
