Police, firefighters and paramedics from Glenview responded about 8:39 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2024 to a report of a crash with injuries at Lake Avenue near Magnolia Street Glenview. There was a report that a woman was ejected from one of the vehicles.
Police were first on the scene and reported three people hurt. A woman, possibly in her 40s, was found unresponsive. She was transported with life-threatening injuries in a Glenview Fire Department ambulance with extra paramedics on board to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
A second person in unknown condition was also transported in a Glenview Fire Department ambulance.
A third person with non-life-threatening injuries was transported in a Prospect Heights Fire Protection District ambulance to a nearby hospital with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening.
Lake Avenue was closed between Maple Street and Des Plaines River Road for an extended crash investigation.
