Anyone with a residential security camera capturing images around 10:06 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024 may have information that could help find the suspects in a residential burglary that occurred on Haddow Avenue between Hawthorne Street and Marshall Street in Arlington Heights.

Images of the direction of travel of a gray minivan captured by doorbell camera, security camera or dashcam camera could be helpful.

Security images or dashcam images in a wider area during an immediate time period after 10:06 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. could also be helpful.

Arlington Heights police responded about 10:05 PM Sunday, July 28, 2024 to a report of a residential burglary in the block of 700 North Haddow Avenue in Arlington Heights, IL.

Police received a report that offenders burglarized a 2-story home on the west side of the street on Haddow Avenue between Hawthorne Street and Marshall Street.

A witness saw three or four offenders running southbound on Haddow Avenue, and saw them jump into a gray minivan parked almost one block south of the burglarized home. The driver of the minivan was parked northbound on Haddow Avenue and made a U-turn without headlights activated on the minivan; however, the driver used the left turn signal. The driver of the minivan traveled eastbound on Hawthorne Street. The driver continue all the way east on Hawthorne Street to Dryden Avenue without the headlights activated. The driver then made a left turn on Dryden Avenue, and headed northbound on Dryden Avenue.

The burglars broke into a rear door of the home. A board-up company was called to secure the home. Nobody was home when the burglars broke into the home.

Initially, there was no description of the burglars available.

The crime is reported to have occurred around 10:00 p.m. to 10:05 p.m.

People that live along Dryden Avenue may possibly help the investigation if they have security cameras that captured the image of the minivan around 10:06 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. that might show any turns off of Dryden Avenue, or if they show continuous travel northbound on Dryden Avenue, or a stop at a home on Dryden Avenue.
