Lake Forest police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:02 AM Monday June 3, 2024 to a hit-and-run crash with personal injuries at Route 41 and Rockland Road (Route 176) Lake Forest, IL. Two people were reported trapped in the vehicle, and were conscious and breathing.
Police officers discovered the crash just south of The Chevrolet Exchange off of Route 41 (Skokie Highway), with the crash scene also described as near Gage Lane.
The first Lake Bluff fire crew on scene reported one vehicle rolled over against a tree with heavy damage.
A second ambulance was requested at about 9:12 a.m.
Both patients were extricated by 9:14 a.m., and transported to Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.
The offending vehicle was later described as a black Dodge Ram pickup truck with a black metal ladder holder with a red ladder.
The black Dodge Ram and offender, wanted for investigation of “Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident”, were last seen southbound on Route 41 (Skokie Highway) from Gage Lane.
