Arlington Heights, IL — Arlington Heights police received a report about 10:51 PM Wednesday May 22, 2024 of a retail theft at Jewel-Osco, 122 North Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender took a pack of cigarettes just be closing time at Jewel-Osco in Arlington Heights.
A retail theft incident was reported at the Jewel-Osco store located at 122 North Vail Avenue on the night of May 22, 2024. According to store employees, an unknown individual stole a pack of cigarettes from behind the service counter at approximately 10:50 p.m.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, around 5’10” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and possibly flip-flops. The individual had a shaved head and managed to leave the store before security could apprehend him.
Local authorities have been notified, and the Arlington Heights Police Department is investigating the incident under report number 24-010124. They are currently reviewing surveillance footage and seeking any additional information from the public that may assist in identifying the suspect.
