Robbie Gould is officially the head football coach at Rolling Meadows High School.
The former Chicago Bears kicker released a statement on his decision Monday, February 26, 2024, and appeared in a press conference today at Rolling Meadows High School.
“Coaching has been a vital part of my development and success at every level of my career, high school through the NFL, and I look forward to providing the same kind of guidance and leadership to young people here at Rolling Meadows. It’s time for me to give back for all the opportunities I’ve enjoyed. I can’t think of a more meaningful or enjoyable way to do that than by helping develop students as athletes and young adults.”

Gould moved on to play for the New York Giants for a year, and then played for the San Francisco 49ers for the remainder of his career. Part of that time he played on the 49ers with quarterback Jimmy Garrapolo, who is a graduate of Rolling Meadows High School.
Gould, who retired from the NFL in December 2023, spent 11 seasons as a Chicago Bears kicker while earning the title of the team’s all-time leading scorer. Gould played for the 49ers from the 2017 season to the 2022 season.
Gould is considered one of the best kickers in Chicago Bears and NFL history.
Gould lives in the northwest suburbs, and has developed a strong interest in the community, while meeting his wife and raising his children here.
