The ongoing Winter Weather Advisory in areas near Arlington Heights (away from lake effect snow areas), was shortened to end at 6:00 a.m. Overnight, Arlington Heights measured a snowfall accumulation of .08 to 1.0 inch.
Although the Winter Weather Advisory is over, there are a high number of crashes in northeast Illinois, many, if not all, may be weather related.
Weather Radar in northeast Illinois was clear, except for a small band of precipitation moving south near the south side of Chicago at 8:15 a.m. A steady, narrow stream of lake snow is hitting northwest Indiana over Porter County in a longitudinal stream.
