Several National Weather Service webpages, especially at the local level at each NWS office, have been experiencing technical difficulties this week. The outage may have been fixed Thursday morning, January 18, 2024.
According to the NWS office in Milwaukee, technicians at the national level are working to resolve the issue.

The National Weather Service Office in Chicago did not mention any difficulties on their official website or their X.com timeline.
One person reported the errors started January 16, 2024.

The Point-and-Click (click your location on the map for the forecast) is not working right now.
Graphics such as the Weather Story, Situation Report, and Graphical Nowcast are not posting properly to the local pages (www.weather.gov/mkx).
The Watch/Warning/Advisory map is displaying the correct hazards but may not update in a timely manner. You can also access the information from this alternative website:
