SUV vs motorcycle crash on Meacham Road north of Algonquin Road in Schaumburg YouTube Tips ⓘ
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 3:16 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 to a report of a motorcycle crash with an SUV on Meacham Road just north of Algonquin Road in Schaumburg. A caller told a 9-1-1 operator that the motorcyclist was unconscious and breathing.
The first fire crew on arrival reported a motorcyclist was down, and then reported the motorcyclist had critical injuries. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital that was not initially disclosed.
A second ambulance was assigned to the scene, but initially it is unknown whether the second patient was transported by EMS.
A black BMW SUV with passenger side damage, and front passenger side fender damage was towed away just before 6:30 p.m.
Although police did not release any information about the crash, it appeared that driver of the BMW might have been southbound and was making a left turn to go east into the Aldi parking lot, and that the motorcyclist may have been traveling northbound on Meacham Road when the crash occurred.
The crash scene was cleared and Meacham Road was re-opened at about 6:30 p.m.
