Robert Crimo Jr. was charged with seven counts of felony reckless conduct connected to his son’s alleged mass shooting at the Highland Park Fourth of July parade about 10:14 a.m. July 4, 2022. Prosecutors allege that Crimo Jr. was criminally reckless when he helped his son Robert Crimo III get a FOID card.
After reaching a deal to plead guilty last month in November, Crimo Jr. was sentenced to 60 days in the Lake County Jail, and two years probation with 100 hours of public service. Robert Crimo Jr. was booked November 15, 2023.
The trial for accused Highland Park shooter Robert Crimo III is scheduled to begin in February 2024. Crimo III plans to represent himself.
