An offender drove a silver sedan into the Naperville Apple Store about 30 minutes before sunrise early Monday, November 6, 2023, but an initial report did not disclose whether any merchandise was stolen, and does not include a description of any occupant or occupants connected to the vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied when police, firefighters, and paramedics arrived.
Police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 6:05 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2023 to a report of a car crash into a building at 120 West Jefferson Avenue in Naperville. Police and firefighters arrived to find a silver sedan intruded about halfway through the glass front entrance of the Apple Store. The vehicle’s driver apparently crossed from a parking lot across the street, going the wrong way and then crossing Jefferson Avenue and crashing through the front entrance of the Apple Store.

The Apple Store is located between a Faherty clothing store and Sephora. The worldwide retailer has been the target of several overnight burglaries for many years.
Decorative safety and security bollards have been removed, where they were once located near the curb on the south side of Jefferson Avenue at least until August 2021, according to Google Maps Street View images captured August 2021.
