Des Plaines police responded about 12:38 p.m. Tuesday November 14, 2023 to a vehicular hijacking at Sam’s Club 101 West Oakton Street Des Plaines, IL. Police received a report that a carjacker took the black Porsche Macan at about 12:37 p.m.
Initially the offender’s physical characteristics were not described.
The chase vehicle was initially only described as a white sedan. Later the vehicle was determined to be a Lexus RX 350 SUV.
The stolen Porsche Macan was last seen southbound on Mount Prospect Road toward Touhy Avenue.
Initially, it was not disclosed whether the Porsche Macan was taken from the Sam’s Club gas station or another area on the property.
