A man and a woman were found dead in apparent separate incidents near O’Hare International Airport in Chicago Saturday.
Early in the morning, police, firefighters, and paramedics from Chicago responded about 3:12 a.m. Saturday April 8, 2023 to a CTA rail car in the block of 1000 West O’Hare Avenue near Terminal 2. The woman, age 48, was transported to Resurrection Hospital in Chicago where she was pronounced dead. She possibly died from a drug overdose.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Chicago also responded to O’Hare at the 1 West O’Hare CTA platform about 12:30 p.m. Saturday April 8, 2023. A man, age 36, was transported to Resurrection Hospital in Chicago where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner did not initially provide a cause of death for either person. The Chicago Police Department is conducting death investigations in both cases.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Chicago also responded about 4:00 a.m. after a man was struck by a CTA Blue Line train near the Illinois Medical District.
Chicago police said the man was struck by a CTA Blue Line train around 4 a.m. near the Illinois Medical District, 430 South Damen Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene with obvious fatal injuries.
Blue Line service was temporarily suspended between Pulaski Road and LaSalle Street during recovery by Chicago firefighters, and during the investigation by the Chicago Police Department. CPD Area Three Detectives are conducting the death investigation.
