Burglary Call at Michael Jordan’s Former Residence in Highland Park

Police officers from Highland Park responded about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 to a report of a burglary in progress at the former residence of Michael Jordan at 2700 Point Lane in Highland Park. Police officers and detectives from Highland Park were assigned to the case, and Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were assigned with a K-9 unit.

Police were moving in and out of the ’23’ gate for about an hour after they arrived. The Lake County Sheriff’s K-9 unit searched the property to make sure no offender or offenders were on scene.

Initially, no suspects were in custody.

The sprawling mansion features a large fitness room, a regulation-sized basketball court, a cigar room, tennis court, putting green with a 56,000 square-foot residence on 7.39 acres. The house was listed for sale for $29,000,000 on March 1, 2012.

Property taxes for 2021 were $135,969 according Zillow.
