Bolingbrook police announced Sunday night that the police department has located and detained a suspect in the shooting and home invasion that occurred Sunday, March 5, 2023 on Lee Lane in Bolingbrook.
Bolingbrook police officers responded about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023 to a report of a possible home invasion in the block of 100 Lee Lane in Bolingbrook. Upon arrival, officers discovered three adults and one juvenile had been shot. One adult female, one adult male, and one juvenile female were been pronounced deceased Sunday night.
One adult female was transported by fire department paramedics to an area hospital for treatment.
Initially there was no offender information available. However, Bolinbrook police announced by about 11:00 p.m. Sunday that a suspect was detained. Bolingbrook Police Department provided information that the shooting involves an active crime scene and an ongoing investigation. According to the Bolingbrook Police Department, patrol officers and investigators are working diligently on all potential leads and evidence.
