Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 9:16 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 to a report of a vehicle fire with an explosion at an apartment parking lot at Stonebridge Apartments. Police and firefighters upon arrival discovered a pickup truck on fire in a parking lot on the north side of the property.
The fire was declared out by 9:29 p.m. The owner of the pickup truck reported that an unknown person intentionally set the pickup truck on fire.
Arson investigators confirmed that the fire involving a 2020 GMC pickup struck “was likely set intentionally.” However, as of Friday, March 3, 2023 the police department did not report any arrests connected to the vehicle fire.
