Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Park Ridge responded about 12:56 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 to a report of pedestrian hit by a Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line near Greenwood Avenue and Busse Highway in Park Ridge.
According to Metra, inbound and outbound train movement is halted due to a pedestrian struck by Metra train #714. Customers should seek alternate transportation and extensive delays are anticipated.
There was one train in the Park Ridge train station, and another train north of the station. The train north of the station was involved in the incident.
