A grand jury in Manhattan has voted to indict former President Donald J. Trump, according to three sources familiar with the matter – the first time in American history that a current or former president will face criminal charges.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office headed by Alvin Bragg has been investigating Trump in connection with his alleged role in hush money paid to cover-up interaction with adult film star Stormy Daniels around the time of the 2016 presidential election.
The indictment is currently under seal, but is expected to forthcoming in tomorrow or the next few days.
There was no comment from the White House Thursday night.
