Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 1:16 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 to a report of a crash with injuries and entrapment at Arlington Heights Road and Magnolia street in Arlington Heights. Five people were traveling southbound on Arlington Heights Road south of Central Road when the SUV left the roadway and crashed into a brick sign. Five ambulances responded to the scene and five people were transported to area hospitals. Firefighters and paramedics from Mount Prospect and Rolling Meadows provided mutual aid assistance at the scene.
Major Case Assistance Team – Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (MCAT-STAR) personnel were assigned to the scene to provide technical assistance for the Arlington Heights police investigators.
Southbound Arlington Heights Road is closed between Central Road and Cypress Street. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes, according to the Arlington Height Police Department.
