Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 6:05 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2023 to a report of an SUV crash into a tree with injuries on Hintz Road just north of Rand Road in Arlington Heights. Fire crews on arrival reported an SUV with moderate to heavy damage crashed into a tree with the driver standing outside the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Northwest Community Hospital with injuries that were apparently non-life-threatening. A police officer accompanied the patient in the ambulance, but initially there was not word on any charges or citations.
The crash occurred near a curve where the Speed Limit on Hintz Road is 25 MPH. The black BMW X3 SUV appeared to be totaled.
