A narrow corridor of heavy snowfall has moved northwest with the heaviest snow likely to fall along the Illinois Wisconsin state line from about Antioch to about 25 miles northwest of Rockford.
Additionally, radar has cleared in northeast Illinois all the way to west of Rockford and Peoria. Some sparse precipitation in northeast Illinois was diminishing to zero at 8:15 a.m. Last night’s forecast indicated snow would begin in Arlington Heights about 7:00 a.m. Saturday, but the radar near Arlington Heights is nearly clear except for sparse precipitation at 8:25 a.m. Intermittent snow flurries were observed.
Very light snow about 0.125 inch fell around 6:00 a.m. in Arlington Heights.
Less than one inch of snowfall is possible in north Arlington Heights. Less than one-half inch of snow is possible in south Arlington Heights. Snow is not likely to accumulate on pavement surfaces.
The Winter Weather Advisory expires at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, but it would not be surprising if the advisory expires early.
