Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:27 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 to a report of a fight in progress with injuries at Dryden Avenue and Jules Street in Arlington Heights. Police received a report that about five teens were fighting in the street, and that at least one of the teens was injured and bleeding.
Police arrived first and secured the scene while paramedics staged nearby. An injured teen was assessed by paramedics in an ambulance, and a second ambulance was dispatched about 3:34 p.m. for a second injured teen. The two teens were each assessed in a different ambulance.
None of the injured were transported to a hospital by paramedics. Evidence and/or injuries were photographed at the scene before the ambulances left the scene empty. The teens’ parents or guardians were called and arrived at the scene by about 4:00 p.m. Apparently, the teens and parents were given instructions and explanations regarding the incident. There did not appear to be any arrests, and most or all teens left with their parents.
The teens appeared to be 15 to 18 years-old.
