Police, firefighters and paramedics from Chicago responded about 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 to a report of a shooting at Benito Juarez High School, 2150 South Laflin Street, Chicago.
UPDATE: Two boys killed, two wounded.
In an early report, two people were reported shot inside the school, and one gunshot victim was reported outside the school. A Chicago Fire Department EMS Plan 1 was activated, but initially only three victims were found at the school.
A gunshot victim was also reported located on Cermak Road. No confirmation was reported for the location on Cermak Road as of 2:55 p.m. Ambulances were staged at Cermak Road and Laflin Street.
At about 300 p.m. one victim was reported dead at the scene, one victim with life-threatening injuries, and two more victims — conditions initially unknown.
