Police officers from Buffalo Grove responded about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 to a report of an armed robbery at Bank of America, 55 West Lake Cook Road in Buffalo Grove.
Police received a report that two individuals were last seen fleeing the property in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. A third person was the driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The white Jeep Cherokee had tinted windows and no license plates, according to witness reports.
Suspect descriptions as follows …
Suspect #1 … male/black, age 17, thin build, wearing all black clothing, armed with a black handgun.
Suspect #2 … male/black, age 30, heavy build, wearing all black clothing.
Suspect #3 … male/black, age 20, wearing all black clothing.
The offenders and the white Grand Jeep Cherokee were seen northbound on Route 83 from Dundee Road, according to police communications. Immediately after the robber, police were unable to located the suspects.
A witness at the bank told CARDINAL NEWS there were several customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, and that one of the offenders punched a person — possibly an employee of the bank. Buffalo Grove Fire Department paramedics were dispatched about 12:50 p.m. to assess a battery victim located at the Bank of America. Located at the southwest corner of Lake Cook Road and McHenry Road, the Bank of America in Buffalo Grove closes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Buffalo Grove police reported that — as with any bank robbery — the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was notified and will be leading the investigation.
