Police, firefighters and paramedics from Des Plaines responded about 9:47 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 to a report that a Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line hit a pedestrian behind a residence in the block of 1900 Busse Highway in Des Plaines.
The pedestrian was hit by Metra train #664, and was pronounced dead at the scene. There is police and fire department activity on Busse Highway to the north of the railroad tracks, and on Camp Ground Road to the south of the railroad tracks.
