Police from Rolling Meadows responded about 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 to a report of a commercial burglary in Rolling Meadows. The exact time that the storefront burglaries occurred was not available. All five business had the damaged openings boarded up Wednesday, and all businesses were operating normally Wednesday.
Initially it is unknown whether police responded to an activated burglar alarm or a report of a commercial burglary, but four storefront businesses were found burglarized with glass doors or glass windows shattered at a strip mall in the block of 3300 Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows.
Dunkin’ Donuts was discovered with a broken window; and Sky Vapor Tobacco Smoke Shop, Daisy’s Eat Drink and Play Cafe, and Pizza Hut were found with broken glass doors. At least one of the businesses captured security video of the suspects committing the crime, but declined to share any images with CARDINAL NEWS.
Also, the Marathon gas station at the northwest corner of Kirchoff Road and Hicks Road was burglarized overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
