Wauconda police responded about 7:16 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 to a report of shots fired in the block of 300 Brown Street, Wauconda. Two 17-year-old females reported that their vehicle was shot at while they were driving in the block of 300 Brown Street, according to the Wauconda Police Department. The females reported that they knew the shooter, and said he is the ex-boyfriend of one of the females.
Wauconda police officers responded to the suspect’s home. Raul Gonzalez and his brother, Martin Gonzalez, both of the block of 200 Slocum Lake Road, were taken into custody. A loaded firearm was recovered, according to Wauconda Police Department.
Wauconda Police Department urges any citizens with Ring or other security camera images captured in the block of 300 Brown Street to contact the police department with any evidence their cameras may have recorded.
